Welcome to the Wheelchair Users Group website

Folkestone Shopmobility

Battery-powered mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs are available to help you shop and use the facilities in and around Folkestone town centre if you have limited mobility, through age or disability.

Shopmobility is run by The Wheelchair Users Group who are members of the National Federation of Shopmobility.

We are based on the second floor of the NCP (ASDA) Multi Story Car Park, Bouverie Place Shopping Centre. Blue Badge parking is available outside our main entrance.

From August 3rd 2021 we will open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.

When you arrive at Folkestone Shopmobility for the first time a member of staff will take down your details and then familiarise you with the equipment you wish to use. When you are satisfied with the instruction and feel confident enough, you are free to shop or explore at your leisure. We recommend that you book in advance to ensure equipment will be available.
